What if I cut up a cheap tarp from Harbor Freight and attached it to the bottom of the rear windshield glass inside the rear hatch? The idea is it would create a curtain inside the rear hatch that keeps dust off the window rails and speakers. It'd deflect dust entering toward the bottom of the hatch rather than letting it blow around and get on everything.
Thoughts?
Here's about 10 years of dust accumulation. I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned the rear window rails, including repeatedly wiping them with clean cloth and applying silicon spray lube. However, there's still enough resistance somewhere that the rear window doesn't want to roll up without someone pushing it upward.
