Rear license plate bolts

Does anybody know where to get the correct license plate bolts for a 2nd gen 4runner? I went to the stealership and got a set. The guy was cool and gave them to me for free. Anyways they do not fit, I went back and they said that Toyota only made one size. The ones they gave me are too fat and the threads are too fine.
My rear plate is only being held by a rusty screw that isn't the right one to begin with.

I got a set from autozone, its hard to believe you got a bad set from some dealer.... ridiculous. But yeah, I got in the zone at autozone. Good luck, don't give a reason to get pulled over

I got stainless steel screws at Home Depot. Get 4 with 2 different heads (straight, phillips, hex) and put one of each on the front and back and make them tight. That way if someone wants to grab your tags they have to use 2 tools and will probably not bother.

I'm 3 minutes away from a fastenal actually! I think I might do that! Having one bolt hoolding my plate on mos def makes me a little nervous.

My rear plate is held on by one screw and a zip tie. One of my bolts snapped and wont come out.
