I used Weathertec plate frames. They are beefy, like a bumper for your bumper in front. In the rear, I noticed the bottom vibrated against the lift gate. I used a bit of double sided tape and how it is holding securely with no vibrations.

Straight to paint for me, I refuse to advertise for any dealership with shifty plate frames

No reason for straight to paint, put felt or rubber on back of plate
