Rear Liftgate Motor Not Recognized?

Hey everyone,

So, like many of us, I just replaced a mangled, rusted, destroyed liftgate motor. Also like many of us, the install took all of 10 minutes and was a breeze. However, I have a liftgate that WILL NOT OPEN!

TLDR: liftgate closes properly, does not respond to button when pressed.

Attempted solutions:

disconnect battery for 5 minutes, no luck.
disconnect rear liftgate ecu (both bottom connectors) for 5 minutes, no luck.
perform auto driver's window/sunroof calibration, no luck.

AM I MISSING SOMETHING OBVIOUS HERE?:noidea:

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Stupid question but you verified everything is plugged in and connected correctly?

Did you reset the back latch properly? Mine was a pain. Had to do the battery disconnect, window up/down, start; several times before I got it right.
