Rear Link Mounts Misshapen

Hey y'all,

I've been having a recurring issue with fishtail behavior in my rear end. A while back, it was than my lower link bolts weren't all the way tightened, which I found odd as it was about as tight as I could get em (no, I didn't use a torque wrench, just a really long one with a wrench on the back). Using some super long wrenches and a buddy seemed to help for a short while, but it came back. About a year later, in for an alignment, Toytec couldn't get them tight enough for the bolt to stop shifting when adjusting my alignment. They thought that, hopefully, the bolt wasn't all the way tight and the threads got mashed and a new bolt would hopefully fix it. Got new bolt, but it looked fine when I pulled it out, making me think that the hole might be out of shape.

To the naked eye it looks fine, but I'm wondering how I might be able to go about checking that, and what I could do to fix it without absolutely nuking my bank account. I'd love to say screw it and go 3 link but something tells me my budget for repairs isn't big enough to take such a dive.

Side note, the movement was the frame mount. Running Rokmen lower links.

If the frame holes are no longer true then you might consider welding these brackets on: Lower Link Mount Skids/Reinforcement – eimkeith.com They should give you a reinforced and correctly sized hole to use. Alternatively you could weld a couple pieces of steel with the proper sized hole to the mounting bracket.

Those link bolts should not wiggle in the hole but very little. My links bolts bushings clean lubed
require taps with a hammer to get them in place for nut. Correct bolts have plenty of thread for squeezing on bushing.

My Vote goes to these too. This way you will never have to worry about it. These were one of the 1st mods I did after sliders. I hit mine pretty good on a rock and it bent. Cost me under 200 dollars to have a local 4x4 guy weld them on for me.
