Rear shock cross reference

I searched, but do not believe I used the right terms.

2001 with OME 3" lift all around.

I have the OME heavy shocks in the rear right now and they are to stiff. If I head to the local parts store, what vehicle do I need to tell them I have to get the proper length shocks?

Yes the rears will work for you. Any year should work as I dont think they are speced out by year in the computer.

Thanks.

I ran some different years through Advance Autos online site and it appears between 97 to 98, Monroe went from the standard Yellow Magnum shock to the Reflex shock. I suppose I can root around and see if the dimensions are the same on the two.

From everything everyone here says, I would avoid Monroe. Have really only read negative things.

Bilstein 5125 or Tundra 5100s would be a good shock for you, IMO.

Monroe Sucks!
Just a heads up 98 is already the FJ100 so get an earlier year

Ive been driving for 20 years. A couple mustangs, hondas (crx and civic), 85 F250.... When shocks needed replaced, they got Monroes. Ive never had an issue with them.

My last vehicle prior to this runner got Ranchos swapped in for the stock Bilsteins and I couldn't tell the difference.

Thanks for the heads up on the LC shocks. Looks like the 98 is good up to 1/98. Anything after is an FJ100. Looks like overall measurements are good, but the threads on the end are 1/2" instead of 3/8".
