rear spacer bump than thunk

I installed a daystar 1.5 rear spacer back in Feb. I noticed anytime I go over a significant speed bump or large bump in the road(frost heaves back then) that when the suspension recovers from the bump there is a loud thunk. Its violent enough that you can feel it. Is it possible that I need upgraded shocks? I don't know the ins and outs of suspension but I put my rig on a lift and everything "looked" fine but obviously something is up. Any input welcome... TIA!!

I'm assuming orig shocks ? If so I would say yes new shocks probably maxed out so you're travel in the shock is what's causing it . Or lack of travel that is . Mine did this with same lift till I got 51s

Yep mine did the same with the stock shocks. Made me cringe every time a hit a big bump. Replacing the shocks with some bilstein 5100s will fix the problem, and make really improve the ride quality as well. I have my old set for sale in the classified section under suspension if your interested.

Thanks guys! yes, they are original shocks and I figured the culprit were the shocks but wanted some input from others..... and yes cringing with other choice words follows the thunk!

I have the same leveling lift kit and had the exact same sounds coming from the rear, but it wasn't my shocks and found out it was my rear trackbar bushings which was completely gone, so I had to get new bushings for it and the noise is completely gone. (I did get new bilstein 5100 shocks tho hehe)
