rear window down and key jammed in back keyhole

I inserted key in the back door keyhole of my 2006 model 4runner and turned anticlockwise to soon.as soon as i did that the rear window opened and the key jammed in the back door keyhole.Now the window cannot go up and key cannot turn in keyhole.what should i do?

Remove the interior panel from the lift gate - here's how.

I haven't done it in a while but if I recall correctly, you can just remove the two nuts holding the lock in place and take it out of the truck. When you disconnect the wiring, you should be able to roll the rear window up using the switch in front.

See if you can't get the key out on your bench in the comfort of your home.

Note: You might have to remove the license plate garnish to pull the lock. I just can't remember since the last time I pulled it, I was replacing the garnish.
