HA! I figured someone here would post this.

Those guys really had never been off-roading before. It was amusing taking them on a really easy trail and watching their reactions. Luckily there were some cutouts from all of the flooding last year that made it interesting.

If you like the humor, great, but be cautioned that it can be a little NSFW.
 
Hah! That's great.

I love the drawn out clip of dropping into that trench. Even looking at the truck, I didn't think it was capable.
 
I always liked RCR! So stoked that they reviewed a runner! Many things that they mention from an outsider point of view is really interesting and I kinda like them. 4runner for life!

I tried getting Mr. Regular to drive off that, but both him and "The Roman" felt like they needed to exit the vehicle. If you notice, I did try and go back up it on the way back, but it hit halfway up the stinger so... no go.

And props, your first gen is purrrdy. I wonder if he'd like to review a stock red 2nd gen...?:p

Yeah I was wondering why the truck was going that direction. Looked impossible.

As a non-crawler, I assume the stinger is for leverage or re-routing the tow cable?

I just wanted to try and see if I could make it. Seriously that ledge was over 4' and it was undercut, so there was no way I was going to make it up straight on, but I tried. If there wasn't over a foot of mud in there I could have probably cut in sideways and crawled the wall but oh well.

Apparently he is going to do a video of my coaching him through the trail, should be amusing.

And the usage of stingers like these is often misunderstood. (and heavily abused by Cherokee owners...) The main purpose is in a roll over situation, the radiator is still protected from the top, allowing you to drive your raisin home.

What I was surprised with is how polite they both were. You also have to remember that they are both fairly educated and definitely have a literary background so all of the video content is quite well researched and put together. Its not random d*ck jokes like it seems at first glance.

Neat. Good to see that's the case. Looked like quite an enjoyable day.
 
I loved this video for 2 reasons:

1.) I love my 4Runners.

2.) Nederland was where my wife and I had our honeymoon in June of 2012. Between Nederland and Boulder, I was never so sad to leave a vacation destination. It was gorgeous out there, regardless of forest fires that summer.

There is also a good BBQ joint in the center of town that makes a wicked Reuben with smoked gouda. The pork ribs there are dry though.

Was it Wild Mountain Smokehouse? The 'Hurricane Hill Reuben' there is fantastic.

I gotta go back sometime... not sure if the 4Runner can make the trip from Cincinnati, tho. :)
 
That's the place. You have to get it with the smoked gouda though.

Strange that a smokehouse can't make a decent set of ribs though. Maybe I was just there on a bad night.

This is the place we hit up when we do front range after work trails. Really, we hit anything off of peak to peak and its super convenient to come back through here.
