I would wait. Relentless in the process of making a new version of the 4Runner bumper with different cutouts. More of an "update" I guess. At least that's what they told me in December. Also, Demello will eventually be making an aluminum front for ours...so that might be worth waiting for.

I have to agree with [MENTION=130999]Inv4drZm[/MENTION] that the redesigned one is currently out I doubt they will redesign the redesigned one, also take a look on their website it says that that is their redesigned one...
"This bumper has been newly redesigned to give you better approach angles and even more clearance than our old design. Plus check out that face lift!"

I could see where they might just be changing the LED cutouts or allowing more options for light cutouts. A whole redesign is unlikely IMO .

Well, that depends on what year you have. The 06-09's are different and have not been redesigned. At least I don't see any notes saying they have. And I didn't say redesign. I said "new version with different cutouts". For instance I spoke with them and I wanted the bumper with the angled holes and not round in the top and bottom. The 03-05 have the angled holes. The 06-09 do not. They also have different things where you can get T4R cut out. The 06-09 will look more like the 03-05 bumpers. An "update" to the looks. They also said they will offer other options besides angled holes and the T4R in the bottom portion when they update the 06-09 to be like the redesigned 03-05 bumpers. Sooooo, we are both right but I was talking about 06-09.

Really. I didn't say redesign. I said new version with new cutouts for the 06-09 bumpers which have NOT been updated to look like the 03-05. They may have now and not updated their site, but that's why I held off.

I asked them for some pics of their Defender style bumper on an 06-09 model and they didn't have anything. Very surprising if you ask me, marketing is not their strong point.
However, they did dig up one picture of the Summit style and pointed out that the only difference is the short angled tubes either side of the main hoop.

That's the 03-05 bumper. The 06-09 is supposed to get the angled cutouts and the option for round holes for lights. They are a sexy bumper tho! But if an aluminum Demello comes out I may have to suck it up and pay tax to get one.

The only difference between bumpers for 03-05 and 06-09 are extra cutouts for turn signals in most cases. They should be exactly the same otherwise. 06-09 has a slight lip on their front fender flares where it meets up with a bumper but I don't think that makes a difference.
And maybe a cutout on the top of the bumper for the lower-hanging 06-09 grille.

Same bumper as the Predator, except for no headlight hoops. Just the center hoop. We've shipped a few Defender style but have not received customer photos just yet. Hoping to update the site with some soon.

Also on the topic of this thread, we did update our 06-09 bumper back in the fall and have shipped a few of them, plus we have about a half dozen current orders for them being finished as well. Note that the dual side LED pod cutouts are an added upgrade and the Baja Designs S8 cutout in the center is optional as well.
