Just checking to see if anyone has any experience relocating main starting batter to PS behind air box mainly on V8, but interested in V6 experiences also. I have a group 31m in a pelfreybilt cage in original location, and an off grid engineering cage for PS that hold a group 34 (not yet installed). I want to make the 34my main battery.
Those who have done this, did you unloom the OEM starter cable and route to new location or did you make new cables and pull off the intake manifold?
Not scared of either approach, just wanted to weigh pros and cons of each using the experience of others.
Not sure if I’m going to use ML-ACR or REDARC BCDC1225D for charge duty, any input there is welcome as well. I like the ability to link with ML, but like the solar input of BCDC.
