Remote programming, and yes Ive searched

I just bought a 98 LTD 4Runner and it didn't come w/ remotes so I bought one of ebay. It has lock,unlock, window buttons and a panic on the back. It also has the Toyota logo so Im pretty sure its genuine.

I searched for programming instructions on here and found several diff instructions. Ive tried them all yet nothing will work. I cant seem to get it to go in programming mode.

Any help would be appreciated!

Don't know about your dealer, But i had a Chrysler with the same problem and I went to the dealer, they re-programmed it for free.

I would try that route first

I did, they said approx. $50

if worst comes to worst, buy a new remote from the dealer, tell them you want to program it yourself. the box should come wtih instructions. program with the instructions and just return the remote that you just bought from them.

and dont forget to post instructions : )
