Remove, paint or leave SR5 wheel well trim. Opinions?

I need to remove a couple of the 'chrome' and black wheel well trim pieces to treat some minor rust tomorrow. I was thinking of maybe just removing all four pieces permanently OR painting the silver trim parts black OR just leaving them on as-is - whaddya think? Any opinions or ideas?

In my opinion, the 4Runner looks way too bland without at least something on the fenders.

I vote that you paint them black and put them back on.

I don't like trims, Either flares or naked fenders for me. I removed mine and like the look a lot better without the trims. You can always remove it and see how you like it without.

I like the trim on your T4R. That trim is what I have on mine. I have a full set of limited flares that I intended to switch over to mine but I changed my mind. If you decide to get rid of your trim, let me know, I am interrested in buying them.

Where are you located? I have a full set that I had on mine before I got SR5 flares.
