Removing rear slider

I found a post with nice instructions on removing the rear slider. Im going to give it a try but i really dont think this is an option i want, it just takes up cargo space and i dont need it. Have many of you removed it and were u satisfied with the outcome?

I will need to study the original post more closely but this idea has appeal to me, unless i am surprised by the usefulness of the slider. So far, the only thing i like is the idea of being able to sit on it like a tailgate when desired.

If you go through with this, i'd like first dibs on buying it from you. LMK. Good luck.

Since Mike has called dibs on it. I will patiently wait and will line up as second on this one. Paypal in hand. Please let me know and I will take it off your hands. Thanks,

Ivan

Takes 5 minutes with an electric impact. I did it several times before permanently removing it. I replaced it with some hard wood plywood and anti fatigue mat.
