Removing Rear Sway Bar

Hi all, I'm trying to remove the rear sway on my '07 SR5 to install the rear ADDCO bar I have, and it now just dangling there

The Runner is on the ground with wheels on, and I jacked up the rear under the hitch as high as my jack will go (about 23 inches, wheels still on ground). But I still can not fish that stock bar out.

I searched for detailed write-ups but didn't see any ?

Can you guys offer some advice ? Is the only method that works to remove the 4 bolts on the rear driveshaft/diff flange to drop it out ?

I figured it out. If you angle the right hand side of the bar down toward the ground, and point it towards the front of the car, you can get the "hump" of the bar over the diff and then turn it 90 degrees and pull the left end of the bar down and out.

Sweet, new bar is in !

Nice, how's the ride? I am waiting for their 5th Gen swaybar to come out. They keep telling me anyday....

Hey Bob, the sway bars are VERY good upgrades. The front bar was a very good mod, improved handling significantly in the corners, as well as regular on-road feel actually.

The rear bar was another level of improvement, and really helped balance out the chassis, its so much more stable now overall.

How much for new sway bars, do it come with urathane bushing? Some of use change out the rubber bushing to urathane on stock setup and it was a nice improvement.
