Should be able to get a set of 5100s for under $400. They are highly recommended around here.

yea they are 359.99 for a set of 4 but before i ordered i was gonna see if i could get any last second input. haha

I would give the classifieds one last look before ordering. But alot of the guys here and Tacomaworld buy from downsouth motorsports.
 
Those are probably you're best choice, hard to beat for the price. They will stiffen it up some, but I would suggest expanding your budgeg and putting in a set of fj coils as well. That can probably be done for around $100 more.
 
I recently pulled the trigger on the suspension as well. I purchased a used set of fj coils (~40k) for $125 shipping included. I then purchased the Bilsteins off of wheelersoffroad.com for $320 + shipping. Will get them installed from a buddy of mine that has a shop. Hoping to get some lift so I can tackle Uwharrie national park this summer. Hope this helps to figure out the budget

How did your upgrade go? Are you in NC, you mentioned Uwharrie...
 
The upgrade went amazing. No problems yet *fingers crossed*. I am in Jersey City and Philadelphia usually. I visit my cousin who works in the hotels in biscoe and troy nc. He has 2 trucks himself. I go down often to visit him. If you decide to go offroading hit up his places.

Also FYI I am pleased with the products from wheelers and fj forums.

If you decide to go with DSMS. Don't forget to mention you're a member of T4R.org forum to get an extra 10% off. Also keep in mind that with DSMS, the front shocks to not include washers and bushings. You can reuse your old ones or use washers/bushes included with the back shocks OR you can order a set from toytec's website for around $20+

Thank manp0899. Have a good one. I just need someone to reply to my post so I can buy a set of FJ coils from them. Did not find any on ebay or FJ forum. Know of anyone?
