Rhino lined rockers/bumpers/flares

So I have been tossing around lately the idea of rhino lining the fender flares, rocker panels (bottom of the doors), and the bumpers on my T4R before I leave for school again this summer. Its natural white in color, and I would do it in a tan color. I got inspired by a king ranch F150 today with the same color setup on black wheels. Has anybody done anything like this on a 4th Gen? I've searched but cannot find anything but 3rd gens. I think the tan would be a great contrast on the white/black stormtrooper theme. :lightsaber: Pics please!!

I really am tossing this idea around also. Tan is a great idea since I think black would be too much. I have nicks in mine all the way back and they will probably get worse since I took my mud flaps off. I would love to see a T4R done in the "King Ranch Ford" tan on white scheme (mine is natural white also).

Yeah I agree, black just wouldn't look good but the King Ranch color scheme is perfect. I just used a whole paint pen today down there and on the bumpers filling in rock chips... I really don't want to do this again, especially since M/T's are on the agenda for this summer. Maybe plasti-dipping would be a good first step to see how it looks?

I feel like the matte grey rhino liner could look good too. Same sort of scheme as the Runners with cladding. I know I saw someone on here who used the Matte Gray on his entire truck and it looked great.

I'm not a huge fan of the matte grey, I feel like it would look too much like plastic :shrug: i just want something unique that nobody else has. And the King Ranch scheme just looks killer to me. But to each his own!

I'm not sure I like the texture of the monstaliner, is there any way to get a more smooth finish? I want it to be pretty smooth and glossy when it's finished. Not sure which brand would look the best

I think if you spray it it can be smooth, with this the texture is all in how you apply it. The roller is what makes the texture because there are no rubber pieces that make it a rough finish.
they say you can spray it with an undercoating gun but I think if you put it on with a normal spray gun it will come out smooth? since there are no rubber tires or whatnot added like others do to get texture.

nice! Looks real clean. I like the finish of the rustoleum the best so far. Im just having a hard time picturing anything other than black and grey :faint:

Paint over the liner after you let it dry. Should work and keep the texture at the same time.

I meant black or grey bed liner. That seems to be pretty much what everybody goes with. I'm yet to see anyone as crazy as me to try something else on a 4th gen!

I was talking about using the tan idea and putting on my light blue 4th. I think the tan would look cool cuz no one else has done it before. It all black and gray.

Get it professionally done. Do not use the "do it yourself" products. They are not nearly as durable and will fade and dull up over time.

Ohhhh i gotcha! I think that would look sweet, there's a king ranch paint scheme thats blue and tan too and it looks real good. I wish somebody would pull the trigger on this so we could see how it looks!

I have a sunfire red pearl that is getting customs bumpers done and I am set on color matching then. I am kind of leaning towards getting them bed lined and painted over with the same paint as the body. Has anyone had any experience doing this? I am curious to see what the color difference is, if there is any.

Monstaliner has a kit where you can DIY and add toner to match body paint. Line-X also offers color matching (but no DIY)
