RIGID 20” light bar for upper grille - TRD Pro

I decided to purchase the Rigid midnight edition light bar for behind the factory upper grille. Hope the install goes smooth, I know YouTube TRDJON installed a 27” awhile back. Anyways here is a picture of what I plan to install.

If anyone else has installed one or similar in the upper grille feel free to leave some comments/pictures on how the install went.

I just ordered the same light:whoo:
But after I installed a rigid metal grille the Baja Design S8 I had wouldn’t fit in the opening so to the roof it goes I will post picks of the install on Thursday after I get the light

Nice! My plan is to keep the factory grille and install the light bar behind it.

I got the e series 20" midnight edition, it's got 2 rows of led's and I plan on putting it behind an SSO slimline bumper as soon as they get back to work and finish the bumper. I hooked the light up to an extra battery I had just to see how bright it is.. WOW it'll blind you for sure. you'll like this light.
 
Awesome! I actually should probably test out the light before I fully install it just to make sure it’s working and not DOA. I haven’t completely figured out which brackets I will use as I haven’t tried to install it yet. I’ll let you know and post a picture of the install.

It certainly is bright enough for my needs. I can't really compare it to a more expensive light bar like a baja, rigid, kc etc. However, for the price it certainly fits my needs and throws tons of light forward. I also like that I can control the amber and white separately.

I like them to be behind the grill, but this one looks good too. How does it mount?? Lots of cutting?
 
20 to 21 inch single row involves no cutting. It will fit in one of the upper grill holes. You might have to reverse the mount. Just whatever kit you buy has to include low profile mounts. Most kits these days include them

I mainly didn't run it behind the grill because I didn't want to waste money on the trd pro upper grill. I had to hack up my stock one by removing the mesh area and leaving the outside frame. It's mounted on a support brace for the hood latch. There were already two holes perfectly placed for the 27" light bar so I didn't have to drill any. Mounted the brackets to the existing holes and it sat perfectly.
