Rigid grill w/generic light bar

Has anyone tried doing this? I'm not a hardcore off roader therefore I can't justify the cost of the Rigid light. Any input appreciated

If you're trying to save money why not just mount a cheap-o light bar in the stock grill so you don't have to pay $300+ for plastic?

Because I Like the Rigid grill I just can't justify dropping $1k on it, by doing a generic light I can cut that number in half. That's my goal.

Spend the money on a good quality light bar to put in the stock grille, not on an inferior light bar and an arguably homely grille. Rigid's lights are awesome, their mounting solutions are excellent, but their styling products are kind of ugly, IMO.

To put it in perspective, you don't want to cheap out on quite literally the only reason for doing this modification.

Spend cash on the SR20. I love mine. Do the Satoshi mod but make it custom for the light.

I've had the cheap lights but now I have Rigid, no comparison. The quality and light output is superior. Plus that grill is questionable on how it looks.

With just a little imagination, you could do something like this and have a quality light bar behind the grill. The bezel/trim cost me 50.00 at a local waterjet co. plus the stainless steel button socket head bolts and nyloc nuts to mount.

Can't see paying an extra 550.00 plus a light to achieve virtually the same thing.

Who are you calling homely? The rigid grill is made out of stainless steel and it's a quality piece of work. That being said, I agree that the money is much better spent on a quality light not grill. Unless you just want bling and not function, then have at it.

OP after reading above if you still want to do this it's probably possible, I have an SR20 in my rigid grill and the way it mounts I think others could fit, it is very snug so aiming could be an issue if dimensions vary much. If you have a 14+ I don't know how they mount.
