Anyone drive the Lolo Motorway in Idaho?

Driven it once, ridden it 4x. Very nice, but much more heavily patrolled than it was the first time I was there in 96. South on 13, to 14 East up to Elk City is a better ride.

I want to go for the historic aspect of the trail. I've reserved the Castle Butte Firetower for a night & printed out the brochure on all the historic stops.

Sad to hear the po po will be out there!

I second Hwy 1 in NorCal. Also, Chuckanut Dr. near Bellingham, WA is pretty fun.

Rode it again during an 8 day trip, last week. Full construction at the west side upper section, 1 way control. Large section of west side has been re done, equal part is old and choppy. Not a whole lot of traffic, no police, gas station in Lowell has been closed 3 years now.

Million Dollar HW is also a fantastic rode to ride. At least it was in 97.

With the local law enforcement permanently parked there its a drag. I would suggest a helmet if doing a run in a car. Just saying.

Autobahn is just another highway, two lanes at that.

Problem with the nice roads in the states is the overreaching police state that places ridiculous speed limits on them. Blue ridge parkway, great road, but nanny state limit.
