I've never been, but I have heard the wheeling is fantastic.

All lift parts will be ordered next week and should be installed in time. Not sure if the sliders will be here in time. I am planning on it regardless of the sliders and will stick to the guided trails JIC. If the sliders are in...IM THERE

It was the first place I got to take mine off road last year. We camped at the family camp and ran from Thursday night (yes there was a night run for early birds) through Saturday. I plan on being there either Thursday night or Friday morning this time, and will stay through about lunch time on Sunday. I had a blast last year, but they did point out it was the first "dry" one they'd had in a while. I could see that it could get messy quick if it rains much before that weekend. Lots of trails rated from rookie through hardcore. I didn't have any trouble with anything up to the Class 3 stuff with my mild Bilstein lift.

I think most of the locals I will be heading up there with will be in 3rd gens or FJs...

As the time gets closer... maybe we can figure out a 5th gen run or something.

I'd like to go but don't have any chasis protective equipment except the front trd skid plate. Would taking the learning course and possibly routes rated 1-2 diamond safe or not recommended. Plan is to get the protective stuff just don't know when the budget will allow.

Went last year for Turkey Trot with OEM skids and never had a problem. The guys I was running with were very good on communicating the trails before and during of obstacles. Ask questions and don't be afraid to ask for a spotter if you feel uncomfortable. Take it nice and slow and you'll be alright.
