My 08 has no rack ( bare roof ) on it. Was seeing if anyone has used a INNO type roof rack system or any other type of removable system.

I like not having one, but, at times it would be nice to have one for a carrier basket as I have the capabilities to make my own ( basket ).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not much help here, but I've seen a couple people complain about not being able to find info about mounting anything up top (yakima, thule crossbars) without using the factory rack.

If you find anything be sure to share, maybe the info will be of use to others.
 
There's a 4th gen driving around here that I see that has yakima towers installed in the stock rook rack mounting locations. Unfortunately I have only seen driving past me and not been able to talk to the owner. It has me curious since I have an alum boat that I would like to be able to carry on the roof of the 4r since it only weighs 200lbs.

Gotcha assuming you checked out yakima also ? Maybe a hair cheaper , but the bajarack will mount into existing holes under your runner stripping on roof , but you don't want permanent hence inno or yakima so..............

Maybe I overlooked this part. But did you confirm you have the holes under the rubber-plastic trim in the roof?
