Its over a few forums so i assume as soon as we get to the minimum number they will let us start making orders and then if we get to the 30+ range they will probably ship out the other goodies.

So the ones i had seen at a few events (viewed, touched, crawled into etc.) Seem to be right on with Tepui and CVT products (pretty sure all these things come from the same 2-3 factories) The bag covers are a bit more loose then other rtt companies but they fill up quickly when you leave sheets and pillows and what not (which is what I plan to be doing anyway)

I recommend reading the specs to see the difference between the models because you will see the more expensive ones are the ones that come with higher grade materials similar to the summit series tents from cvt. I would love to see a graphic that has their specs next to other rtt specs in a side by side comparison of sorts... hmmm

Most rtt's mount something like this

so depending on the shape of your cross bars you can use different length bolts

So it took a while since the info isnt consistently phrased the same way on different vendors but I was able to put a basic side by side comparison. This one compares some of the lower end RTT's version on the top brands. I will state that the comparison is based off of canopy style RTT's and smittybilt doesnt have one of those (where the ladder is covered by an overhang).

The chart below compares some of their more high end models that fold out.

I also received my Adventure Series from Freespirit Recreation and took it to Overland Expo East and got to crawl into a ton of tents and I will say although many look similar they are not all the same. You really cant go wrong with any of the top RTT brands but seeing them all side by side Freespirit definitely impressed me, fabric quality, freebees, colors, weight, etc. Freespirit was either right up to par or exceeded the other brands on virtually every topic. On the high end tents like our extreme series I would put FSR & CVT right on with each other followed by Tepui but at the end of the day it comes down to preference, customer service and w.e you prefer. On the low end tents (first chart) I would say for the price FSR has the quality of the others without the price tag and for a little bit more then smittybilt you get a first class performance, feel and look. I used to have a Mt. Shasta and its a good tent, I dont really have any complaints. My ladder was the retractable kind and the aluminum rails started to chip but it was likely user error. Here are a few pics.

Below is our 4runner (wifes daily driver) with the Freespirit Mossy Oak Automatic Hard Top Adventure Series, comes with wireless remote, power bank that charges phones and is charged by the solar panel on the tents hard top.

Not the best pic (our tacoma was in the TC booth) so our wheel was off. But we really like the unique color combination of our Extreme Series tent with our Quicksand Tacoma
