I have an '01 4-Runner with worped rotors. Had them replaced by the dealer and they eventually worped again. I don't even use my brakes that much for something like that to happen. I"ve been told these rotors can't be turned. At this point I'd rather replace them myself (I used to be a mechanic for Chrysler many years ago) but use an alternate brand of rotor, maybe slotted so this doesn't happen again. I've been an IT consultant for many years now and haven't really been involved with fixing cars much in quite a number of years but I think I still might have it.
Does anyone know what's involved with replacing the '01 rotors by chance? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
