I know how to take my boards off...Nut here, bolt there...but does anyone have a picture with running boards gone with 265/70/R16's? Ive seen alot with the 265/75's....thanks guys
Your truck will look "Naked" afterwards. Don't do it! Our trucks have their balls already hanging so far below, it's like taking the skirt off a Scottsman (assuming you have a 4th gen).

3rd gens don't look as "naked" w/o 'em as 4th gens do. Mine never had 'em ever and with the OEM front mudflaps it looks good and in off road situations the running boards will probably get damaged so yank 'em off.
not yet, ive cleaned my car about every two weeks and havent seen an abrasions. I go to work about 20 min away from school in the country and drive on some really rocky roads and havent seen anything yet. Not to say I wont get some scratches, but im not worried about it.
The mud flaps will protect from rocks and stuff. I took my boards off immediately, I got sick of running into them. Makes the truck look ways better imo.
First thing I did was remove my running boards, made it look less like a soccer mom car and more like the off-road truck it's supposed to be... Plus I got tired of hitting my ankles on them everytime I got in an out, got old real quick.
