Rust Queston

I searched around the site for any answer on my problem and couldn't find one, so here it goes.

I have a 05 Sport in Salsa Red with very low miles and babied since day one. The body is in almost brand new condition but the frame and undercarriage has a ton of rust and is causing a lot of damage to my brand new concrete driveway. I am trying to find a way or product that I can spray on the frame/undercarriage to my 4Runner that will seal things in and keep all the rust spots from dripping all over my driveway. Or am I pretty much out of luck at this point and need to find a new home for it? Street parking is not a option and I really want to keep my 4Runner for a long time to come, I absolutely love the thing.

Why don't you scrape away the rust and paint it with rustoleum?

I do the scrape and spray every spring, the rust seeps through at the weld seams every year but it slows it down. Get a wire brush and a wire wheel for a cordless drill. Power wash after you sand it, let frog and then spray the hell out of it. I do rustoleum rust converter first then a coat or two of flat black spray paint. Tip: cover your wheels with a drop cloth when spdayi g close to them to a oid over spray on the wheels.And wear safety glasses, rust in the eyeball sucks big time.

Bring it to a waxoyl dealer and have it treated. I had my landrover done and it was excellent.

Yep, use POR15. I did mine 2 years ago and it was great. Going to do a little touch up this summer on new spots and some areas I missed. It is messy and you dont want to get it on your skin because it wont come off. It took me 8 hours to do and was not fun, but it works, looks great and I would do it again for the results.
