S.O.S.:Suspension swap...now thump?

Good day everyone. This weekend, after 180,000 miles, I ditched xreas on my 05 SE. In its place I put OME coils and Bilstein 5100s all around. Looks good and rides great but...there's a thump.

We tore the CV boot, so I had that replaced, but the thump remains. It is coming from the front end, and happens when I hit a bump or deviation in the road. My dad and I looked under the truck, and we know we tightened everything up. Everything seems to be in order and fine, except for this thump.

We are stumped by the thump. :noidea:

Does anyone have a clue? Like I said if I hit a bump it makes a pretty prominent thumping sound but it doesn't feel like anything is wrong driving down the road.

Might be the sway bar mounts. I had a similar noise that would occurring going over things like speed bumps and it turned out to be a loose sway bar mount

I had the same thing happen on my 06' at 170k after I swapped out XREAS for OME. It turned out to be the ball joints in the lower control arm. I ended up swapping out the LCA's for new ones with new ball joints as my caster/camber bolts were seized. I also noticed that my passenger side upper control arm ball joint was sloppy so I swapped in some SPC's and its all tight and aligns perfect now. I would check the lower ball joints. Easy enough to know if there is play there.

Did you get extended sway bar links too? If you didn’t it’s your sway bar. Had the same thing going on, got rid of my sway bar and no more issues
