Looking for some good trails in and around San Diego county/area for a moderate skill level and a stock 99 runner...any ideas?

There are tons of trails here...most are in the desert, but there are some close by too.

Corral Canyon is fun.. Some of the trails are tight, and you will end up with desert pinstripes.

There needs to be a meet up! I see 4runners all the time that are modded but never get a chance to talk to them.

Deer Springs off the 15 is a good spot that's close by and not too hard.

+1 Deer Springs Rd, also known as Drug Airport. Not a huge area but def a good spot to see what your truck can do.

Be careful at Deer Springs...it is illegal and I have heard of citations written and even vehicle impounded.

There is a fun trail near Alpine called Pancake Rock, Corral Canyon, and of course the desert!

Wildomar OHV is where you can tackle a ton of obstacles, while Anza Borrego is a place where you can stretch your Runner's legs and camp at the same time.

Anza Borrego via Ocotillo south right off the 8 is a good way to traverse up through Anza. I've gone from the 8 through Anza to Ocotillo Wells and Salton Sea. You can camp out in Anza. Good traverse if you like to explore and ride on lose sand.
