So everything has just about shown up. Looks like i got my work cut out for me. Can't get to it this weekend, but it will happen the next or the one after. Either way i need to get it on the truck so i can stop making my gf jealous by cuddling with these coilovers.

Johnny Joints!!!!! Other than the coilovers, my favorite part already before even having them on the truck are these rear links from All Pro Offroad which utilize Johnny Joints. They are beautiful.

Also i placed an order with Demello for my front bumper along with a set of Lightforce Genesis 210's to throw on it. Got the lights from Sierra Expeditions. Wil the owner of SE is an awesome guy and definitely recommend buying from him if you have the chance.

oh and in case anyone is wondering here's a list

Icon stage 1 extended travel
Light racing UCA's (SPC performance)
toytec fully adjustable DOM panhard bar
2 sets of spidertrax 1.25"
extended rear brake lines
diff drop kit
all pro offroad ultimate rear upper and lower control arm links
all pro offroad spindle gussets

Total came to $2500 at Toytec and $700 at All Pro. Getting me somewhat close,(and in some ways better in terms of the rear links) to a stage 6 Icon, minus the resi's, for about $1000 cheaper... which ended up being bumper money.

All in all i wanted a good set up with adjustment (front and rear) so i can achieve a good 4 wheel alignment. I will also get more freedom with those rear links so i will get better flex. I will have tons of pics while we install and some before and after shots. Sorry to keep you waiting but you will see it in the next couple weeks!!!:guitar3:

I want to know how those upper links are, later on I might decide on the All-Pro's, Icon's, or the Toytec ones.

Any reason why you didn't go with the Metal Tech kit with the extended travel c/o, LT rear, and their lower links?

I didnt look too much into the metal tech kit because i am not a fan of progressive rate springs for on road use (yes i do offroad quite a bit, but my 4runner is also my daily driver). Ya they do allow for some more travel, but that is just because at normal ride height, the softer part of the spring is very compressed, so it is able to decompress a lot when the weight is off. I haven't heard too much about how these feel in particular on the 4runners, but in general they give some pretty weird ride characteristics. They supply a bump stop drop since the springs are so soft in the beginning of travel and dont slow down the "bottoming out" chassie/body in a linear manner.

As for the links, the icons are nice but i would say save your money, the toytec uppers have a little thicker tubing, but use a heim joint which isnt as strong as the johnny joints. The all pro's are way stronger than stock and have johnny joints on the top and bottom for more less binding. I will let you know how they are.

So far the links are great! I didn't really try the lift with the old links, so i dont have much to compare to, but i definitely see them twisting instead of binding up like the stock links would, so they must be freeing things up a little.
