SC Guru's - EGT Probe Location Question

I'm hoping some of the SC guru's can chime in on this one - is there a particular cylinder that tends to run lean when the 5VZ is boosted with the TRD SC?

I'm trying to plan where to weld an EGT probe bung on my TRD headers, and I want to leverage any known weak spots if they exist.

Don't have a SC but if it was me, I would put the EGT where all 6 head pipes merge. You should be able to monitor all your cylinders at once. That way if a cylinder is running lean, that you don't have an EGT probe on , you won't burn it up.
 
EGT probe? (exhaust gas temp, usually used on turbo diesels)
Or wideband air/fuel sensor?

Yes you want the sensor mounted after all the gasses come together. You could go lower into the exhaust pipe if you want to. Keep it above the bottom half of the tube, more toward the top. You don't water condensation to collect in the sensor.
 
Actually since you have a 2002, I believe the O2 sensors that are used are a wideband A/F. The Scangauge will read A/F ratios of it.
 
Putting it after the collectors is pretty far from the cylinder heads, which makes the EGT temps vary widely (which is the same as using an EGT preturbo vs. post turbo - I always did preturbo on my previous cars/diesels); so I'm not interested in putting it there.

I'll be putting the probe right after the TRD header flange (which appears to be some sore of cast piece) on one of the primaries between cylinder 2 and 4. The 1, 5 and 6 runners appear to be the most obscured runners inside the TRD blower manifold, so I would assume they'd run the richest of all from recieving the least flow (even though the pressure would be constant within the manifold itself).

I have no interest in eeking every last pony out of this motor, so I'm foregoing the wideband O2 and sticking with just an EGT gauge so that any sustained beating and/or towing can be monitored appropriately. I have a TRD 7th injector kit to go on and I'm going to be sticking with the stock blower pulley anyway, so this is really just a sanity-check tool vs. a warning to impending failure.
