Finally installed my Denver Outfitters RTT.

So what's your thoughts/review on the RTT? I really like the sleek look of the hard shell RTT's if it's going to be left on, despite sacrificing some room. Any more side or rear pics closed?
I hadn't heard of that tent before but they seem to be very confident and proud of it (in a positive way) on their website. Not to mention - it's about $1000-$1500 less than most of the competitors.
Did you order online or find somewhere local?
Also - any idea what the weight is? I couldn't find it on their website - oddly.

Sorry, I did a ninja edit above...I run the Rokmen Trail arms. The length works well, and they are simple. I don't have plans to go long travel) sort of medium travel now with the extended length rear shocks and progressive rate coils.

Jury is still out on if I will keep the tent long term, but let me give you a little background and my initial thoughts. Last year I bought a largest OzTent, the RV-5. I did my of my trips with my dad and it was nice setting up the Oz and creating a mini cabin with cots, annexes, etc. His interest started to taper off and I did a few solo trips and the Oz was unwieldy. I saw the Denver tent and it checked all of the boxes: affordable, hard-side, black, and a simple design. I bought it and it sat in my garage for 2-3 months.
I put it on the truck myself, and boy it was a PITA. The brackets run down a fixed tracks, but the spacing between the bolts didn't line up well with my BajaRack. As a result after a long day rock crawling, the tent shifts slightly. I'm going to see about getting some custom brackets made to make the tent more secure.
The tent itself is very nice, although the ladder leaves little to be desired. The ladder folds up nicely, but felt a little flimsy in the center when climbing up (I'm 190 lbs). The of is very comfortable and soft. I keep my sleeping bag up there, but the tent is too low profile in places and takes a little skill stowing a thick pillow up there.
Funny enough, my dad started wheeling with me again. We both stayed in the RTT. Yes space was tight, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. He felt claustrophobic. Obviously would be better with a significant other and not your 62 year old dad who needs to pee 5x a night. He asked me to use the OzTent for our future trips. I'm left scratching my head on how best to take the tent off when not using it. Putting the Oz on top of the Denver would look crazy!
I haven't noticed any hit to MPG or even much road noise. I log a lot of Interstate house too, about 80 miles a day.
My conclusion is that it's a great value for a hard RTT and the styling is fantastic. It's the right RTT, but I'm not convinced an RTT is right for me. Oh and it weighs around 130lbs and I ordered it directly from the manufacturer.

Have you taken a look at the iKamper? It's a hard shell that folds outward like a soft shell so there is more room inside. Most hard shells, like the Denver, just lift up via a scissor mechanism or hydraulic lifts. From the videos it seems you could easily fit 3 adults. They're pretty new too, I think it's for pre-order and they were a kickstarter backed item. The price is decent and they don't rape you for wanting a different color than white either.

Nice. I don't think I'll be changing anything soon. Could invest in a trailer, but wife may want a boat first.

Swapped out the suspension last month. Now running Radflo extended travel coilovers in the front and Radflo long travel rear shocks with Dobinsons Springs. I also removed the rear swaybar and upgraded to a 12.5lb Superwinch.

Upgraded to 35” tires last week and got some good trail time on Saturday. Also installed a 1” body lift to help clear. I’ve got to say these performed great!

Any major rubbing with the tall skinny 35? I would imagine it clears better then a 12.5 inch wide 315/17/70.
