This person is running a scam advertising that he is actively building hitches and shipping them out.
He has over promised and not delivered on the hitches he is offering. Detours of Maine has a facebook site and his posts block all commentary.
His site and domain detoursusa.com is now for sale as well.
If you have ordered from this person and are within the 6 month window of payment from paypal, then I would recommend you buy from a more reputable fabricator or company.
His facebook posts promise a 48 hour response and they post reasons why issues are delayed but I have not heard from this company since March. Unfortunately, my payment company PayPal changed their refund policy from 1 year to 6 months.. I have now waited over a year since payment and have not heard back from the vendor since March. I have messaged them multiple times asking for an update and received no response.
I understand several people have gotten their products. I was willing to wait 6+ months but over a year is unacceptable. I'd even take a refund if I could but I his policy doesn't offer that.
