Arrived today! There should be a warning not to watch it while you accelerate onto the freeway... I'm going to have nightmares. Found my sweet spot though, when I take my foot off the pedal... 9999mpg. At that rate the gas will go stale before I get through 1/2 a tank












Looks like my real sweet spot is between 75 and 80mph, I get between 22-24mpg. First impression...

This thing is F***ing sweet! Should pay for itself pretty quick I think.

Haven't mounted it yet. Will probably go on top of the steering column for the time being but I want to find a spot that is more clean looking, although view wise I'd say that is the best place.

AT Temp on Torque?

If you already have an Android phone, the combination of a bluetooth OBDII dongle and the Torque Torque — OBD2 Performance and Diagnostics for your Vehicle app from the Android market will be cheaper than the ScangaugeII. And it will read and display transmission temperature on a '99 4Runner.

Not to hijack the thread, but how did you get Torque to read out AT Temp on your 4Runner? I've been looking to get that set up, but have only found the x-gauge settings. Nothing for Torque yet.

The developer Ian a.k.a. piemmm is actually pretty responsive to bug reports and feature requests there on that forum. In latest version of Torque, the Toyota transmission temperature is now a standard built-in PID "Transmission Temperature(Method 2)". So, you shouldn't even have to type in all that stuff to create a custom PID to read that sensor.
