I liked my SG when I first installed it, but I'm wondering about it's accuracy now. I noticed that my trip MPG is now averaging 16.9 mpg where it used to be more like 18-19. I also notice that my gas fillups are only going about 230-240 miles before the empty light comes on where it use to be a bit over 300. I did add bigger tired, and a bit knobbier so that would affect it a bit but 70 miles?
Also, my transmission temps don't really get up to 160 unless I'm climbing a hill and I've already been driving for 20-30 minutes. Is that supposed to be the case? I was under the impression that the tranny likes to be at 160 and of course heat kills it. But running too cool is bad for lubrication. It wouldn't make sense for Toyota to make a tranny that took that long to warm up, so I wonder if my gauge is accurate.
Anyone else notice this, or am I losing my mind?
