Scout GPS Link on 2016 TEP

Has anyone with a 2016 get the scout gps link installed onto their entune apps? The manual says it should work but I cannot get it to prompt my 4runner to download it.

I couldn't get it to work either. I have the iPhone connected via Bluetooth, open the ScoutGPSLink app and say connect to my car, click, Toyota, and nothing happens.

Update: I guess it's because if you have the "Entune™Premium Audio w/ Navigation and App Suite", then you wouldn't use Scout GPS... you would use the built in navigation system.
It wasn't stated specifically but I guess ScoutGPSLink only works with 'Entune™ Audio Plus' and not 'Entune™ Premium'.

it doesn't look like it offers any of the benefits of Waze or Google Maps, so why not just use the factory GPS?

You can use factory GPS, I was more just looking to install to have the option but figured out that it won't even let you install it to try it. No worries.

Glad I was able to find this thread!

The manual almost makes it sound like Scout GPS Link should work, but if you have Entune Premium w/ Nav then apparently it doesn't. Spent about 30 minutes last night trying to make it work to no avail, so I'm happy to see that it's not an issue with my system!

You'll use Destination Search instead of Scout GPS. Destination Searcg works with the factory nav unit to give you better voice-based search results.
