Vin, are the SR8's ever going to be available without the black outer ring? I'm looking for a set of them in matte gunmetal but I'd like them to be one solid color.

I see CWebb's needed trimming and the mud flaps removed. I'm looking to run 5100's at .85 setting. Would the trimming and mud flap removal still be necessary with this set up?

Sort of similar question to the above. I'm trying to buy some tires right now and I'm stuck between the General Grabber AT2 and Goodyear Duratracs in a 285/70r17. I've seen a few guys running the AT2 with SCS but most of the 5th Gen guys are running Duratracs.

Does one fit better than the other?
Do you happen to know of any serious modifications to get these to fit?

My mudflaps are already removed, and I don't mind doing the fender liner modification, but I still have warranty so I'm trying to not do a BMC right now.

There currently are no plans to produce this model in a solid color. Mud flap removal is almost always a must, but light trimming can be hit or miss depending on the tire of choice and alignment setup so it's hard to give a definite answer.

An aggressive 285 will tend to require a BMC unless you don't mind the tire rub every now and then while at full lock or backing up at a turn. It's more of an annoyance than anything else. You're not going to do any damage to the tires, but a BMC done cleanly is hardly noticeable.

SCS Wheels

So, currently I have an Icon Stage 1, 285 duratracs and stock 17x7s. I did remove the mudflaps, and did the front fender liner mod and have no rubbing.

I would really like a wider rims for the 285s than the stock 7" and the scs 17x8.5s look perfect (offset is perfect too).

I was concerned that the 17x8.5" might cause some rubbing and another brand with 17x8-0 offset would be safer.... thoughts?

SCS are the sweetest looking I have seen so far, just don't want to create problems..
