Have you guys seen the reviews on Amazon of the Rostra kit? It is not so great. Folks are complaining of the switches being lower quality, bleed through in the lighting etc.

I am curious how the cheaper eBay kits are holding up. If they are all cheap/non-OEM standard, maybe better to go with the cheaper kit instead of Rostra?

After a full year with the Rostras, I am completely sold and glad I got them. Get real warm even on the 2 setting and haven't let me down yet. I ot the dual switch option from Rostra. Recommend this to anyone.

I have the exact same ones with two switches in my 4runner and the kit with one switch and two dials in my wife's Accord. We love em!

Got them off eBay. Bout a year in, no issues.

Good work modifying that switch!

ebay pads break

I bought the cheap ebay seat heaters for my escape. they were nice and toasty, but the drivers side heater became less powerfull after the winter, and was useless by mid 2nd winter. the passenger seat still worked nicely. I used the truck daily, and basically, my butt was slowly breaking all the connections within the pad.

I have used these seat heaters in my 08 for over 3 years now and they are fantastic (my sister has them in her 05 Sport as well). The high setting gets very warm, and heats up quick even on the coldest days. I placed the round rocker switches in the OEM position like the above photos. Thought I would provide another option to T4R members and provide my insight from the last few years of use.

I know I started this thread but I have yet to actually wire up the bun warmers, LOL!!! Living in the SW and using cloth seats, bun warmers haven't been a priority of mine. Glad to hear that the Rostras are worth the money for long term.
