SeattleMike's cargo project

Godspeed to you and yours Mike. If not an inspiration for mods to our vehicles, you've certainly been an inspiration to all as a man. We salute you as you wrap up your battle and wait to ride with you once more on the elysian fields.

Peace be with you brother!

Reading your posts have always been a source of inspiration for creativity and adventure with our cars. Your most recent posts have been a source of inspiration for life. It goes without saying that all of us here have been taken back by the unexpected events and like we all used to imagine we were in your 4Runner, we certainly now see ourselves in your shoes full of empathy and self-reflection.

It's not over until the last bolt is tightened and every thing has been adjusted, then readjusted. Who would of thought that on this site you would have made such an impact and made so many loyal friends. Your legacy is bigger than that beautiful Shoreline Blue Pearl truck. Peace be with you Mike.

Mike, I enjoyed your posts and liked watching the progress on your build. Wish we could have shared a beer over conversation. Good luck, and we'll see you again one day.

Michael when you get to the other side please put a good word in for ALL of us left here on the forum!

God speed to you and may God bless you and keep you in the palm of His hand!

I am both grateful and in awe of the outpouring of goodwill and emotional support. You can bet on my prayers being for all those people on the trails who suddenly find themselves hanging on to the edge by their finger nails. I've rarely seen a vehicle forum gather around a member with this kind of compassion. Usually it's a bunch of requests for parting out the vehicle or similar.

You all rock!

You're an insightful and talented guy, and I'll miss reading your posts and comments on the forum. You'll be in my prayers.

Thanks FR, I appreciate the prayers.

I wants to say "thanks" for all the supportive comments on this forum, but things have progressed beyond my body's ability to recover. Another incident will most likely be the last. We're looking into hospice and such. Please, do not call me as I can't get two or three words out and they are raspy and hushed as it is. Any emails or messages here will be read, but responses will be based on how much the drugs will allow me to sleep.

Thank you for letting me share a part of your lives, and please accept my apologies if I have failed to make amends for being an insensitive jerk. I enjoy interaction with people who challenge me mentally and intellectually, which leads me into a great many conflicts. If we sparred on the internet or real life, consider it a sign of respect for your brain. I apologize for any bad feelings I left behind.

Either my wife posting as me or java (the master drawer builder) will post here and let you all know when it happens. For all the people who have helped me out or just told me to shut the hell up, thanks. Go snuggle your spouse ;)

See you on the other side,
Mike
God bless you Mike! You will be missed around here! I have watched my Uncle fight these things off for the past ten years, but only you know when it is your time. I pray that there will be peace for you and your family throughout this, whatever may come.

:cry2: Sad . . .

Mike,

I'm at a loss for words.

I hope you find comfort in the knowledge that many people, across the country and in countries abroad who's prayers are with you.

:hatsoff:

Not something I ever want to read or hear...

You're a stronger man than I think I would be in this situation. My prayers are with you and your Wife.

I've only been on the site since September but have followed much of your advice since signing up, Mike. I just started following this thread and was saddened to hear about your medical condition. As someone who has battled lymphoma since '97 I initially thought I might have some helpful words of wisdom that might help you with your struggles.

But after reading about the latest turn of events, it is you, again, rather than the rest of us, who is providing good advice. It is clear from what I have read that you fought the disease when it could be fought, but have now accepted that the fight cannot go on forever. Just as you found appropriate solutions to different issues in the past, so too, here, have you found the proper solution to a difficult issue. I only hope and pray that you can make the most of the time you have left. You are an inspiration to us all.

God bless.

God Bless you Mike, thanks for all the advice.
