Secondary Cat Delete

I've been looking for a nice sounding exhaust for my 4runner, and think I found the perfect set up. It is a 2.5" flow master dbx muffler and a delete of the secondary cats. Before I go forward and get this done, I wanted to see if anyone else had removed their secondary cats. From my research it seems that a secondary cat delete wouldn't throw any code or cause a check engine light etc. Is this true? Are there any drawbacks to doing such a thing (besides the emissions & emissions check)?

Here is a video of the same setup for reference.

I've removed mine.. no downside except more noise and a little smell when cold start before the primary cats have had time to heat up.

Has no impact on anything emissions related unless you live somewhere where they do a cold start test and I've never heard of that.

No codes but it sounds like a 16 year old with a straight-piped V6 f150.
