I am considering a "new" toyota purchase and seeking any advice/opinion. i always find this forums super useful for very real, practical insight. So thank you in advance.
Right now I have a 2008 4Runner limited. Had it for 4 years. Bought it used. Drives great. No issues. But I recently moved to the suburbs where I am driving it everyday now. I used to live in the city and only use it on the wknds. That said, at 6'3", I m finding the 4runner to be a little tight inside. Thus I am strongly considering trading it for something bigger and parking it is less of an issue now that I have driveway. The options I am considering are the Tundra crewman platinum and the land cruiser. I like both for their size, reliability, etc...and I have gotten very used to a big sunroof and now REALLY want the ventilated/AC'ed seats. I experienced these seats for the first time in my buddy's lexus and my next truck has gotta have it.
So with that, here are my concerns and where I seek anyone's 2 cents.
Land cruiser. Expensive. Hard to find used. Only offers ventilated seats from 2013 on. Thus I can't look at a 2010 or 2011 to save money.
Tundra. Has the features I want. Concerned about it's physical size. Never owned a pickup before. Not certain of it's resale value if I buy and decide its a mistake. I know both the 4runner and land cruiser hold their value well. That said, I do feel as though these newer 4-door pickups are becoming the next SUV. Especially since most true SUVs have gone the way of a watered down crossover.
Is there another option I am not thinking of here? I'd only consider used. Do I look at the newer 4runner? The cabin does seem larger. Does ANY model offer ventilated seats? Is there something else?
