Seeking input on Slider Brand--Shrock vs. SSO

I am considering the Shrockworks and the Southern Style Offroad Sliders.

Both with step plating. Does anyone have experience or opinions with these two brands.

Going to purchase this week.

Appreciate the input.

I don't have either and I am currently shopping for sliders.

I have ruled out the SSO because I do not like all the holes in the support arms. I believe water and dirt will collect in the arms and accelerate rust.
 
I have the SSO sliders, very happy with them. Have been to Hidden Falls with them and bounced off a couple of rocks with no damage to the sliders at all. Just so you know SSO has a refer a friend program, you save 100.00 off the price and I get a 100.00 credit.
 
Consider RSG Offroad sliders. They have them in stock and you'll get them within a few days.
We just received a set and they look great! Very beefy, welds are clean, and the powder-coating is done very well.
 
That is a good point about the holes, however, there are 3 attachment bars with SSO, only 2 with Shrock. Any thoughts on strength with less bars attaching to frame?

Certainly don't want to derail this thread in anyway, but make sure you're comparing apples to apples here:

RSG: bare metal is $699 and in stock.

SSO: bare metal is $600 with a 5-6 week lead time.

Plus shipping for both. SSO is $110 flat. Unsure of RSG ship cost.

Basically comes down to paying $100 more to get them now, or save $100 and wait up to 6 weeks.
 
Just mounted up the Shrockworks with tread-plate on my Limited. Install was easy, instructions were clear. I've seen some videos on youtube that convinced me that the two mounting points were plenty. You'll bend the slider tubing before ever deflecting the posts bolted to the frame.
 
I have had shockworks on my Gen4 and they're top notch with build strength and powder coating quality
They have bounced off trees, rocks and car doors and not a dent or a chip of powder coating came off.
I live in the Northeast and no rusting on them .

I've got Shrockworks and they're great for my uses. They have the tread plates, and are level when mounted so that they can be used as a step. They also stick out a decent amount to allow you to get most of your shoe on it when going in or coming out. And I'm sure they'll do great as a rock slider when the time comes.
 
I've had mine from RCI Metalworks for about a year now. Very happy with them. Exactly what I was looking for. No plate. Utilitarian. Looks almost factory. Blends right in with the body.

I have a set of the SSO rails and like them. The bump out bumps things away from the rear wheel or the rear away from things. They are also a step to help get in the back seat and also to be able reach stuff you might want to have on a roof rack. Nicely made and they do have sales from time to time. Bought mint last fall for about 450 with free shipping. 100 to have powder coated, bolted them on and go to go.
 
shrockworks! I drove a couple hours to pick them up in houston , real nice guys. paid less than $540 for powder coat 3 supports. I regret not getting the treadplate but they are still hella nice sliders
