Semi Gloss or Satin paint for Undercarriage?

Should I use semi gloss or satin black paint on my undercarriage?

Shouldn't matter, gloss will look sharper. Matt will be more unnoticed

And I got pulled over and ticketed after eating a burrito. Obvious conclusion that the officer pulled me over for eating a burrito. :typing:

Seriously, did you get a ticket for the paint choice on your underbody or was there another reason?

How about Eggshell?

Eggshell
A finish 1/2 way between satin and semi-gloss with a noticeable gloss and sheen. Washable, sometimes scrubbable, but may show surface imperfections. Reflacts light noticeably.

Best uses for eggshell wall paint: Kitchens, Bathrooms, Laundry Rooms, Mud Rooms, Trim Work

I say your choice on which type to use. I've even used gloss a lot but it won't stay shiny for long after driving once it gets dirty.

I would look for something specifically designed for rust, adding non-rust targeted paints can sometimes mask rust rather than prevent. POR15 is good for treating rust, something else if the underbody is largely rust free may work.
Rust can work underneath a paint coating without any outside visible signs.
