Hey all,

I have been debating posting this for awhile... I want to find out who my brothers and sisters are on this site.

ROLL CALL! (if you're active and this violates opsec, please limit your location and MOS, no need to endanger yourself!)

A quick story that pops into your mind after a beer or two, or something that rides on your mind.

I want to recognize and thank you each for your service to this great nation.

Branch: USCG Aux.

Location: Fort Collins, CO

MOS: SO-MA, SO-PE, FSO-RBSPV, Vessel Examiner

Separated? NOPE! Still in (volunteering. The USCG Auxiliary is the volunteer branch of the United States Coast Guard. I have type 1 Diabetes and was denied enlistment, so I found another way to serve the people.)

Stations: 085-01-04 Denver Flotilla 085-01-06 "Twin Peaks Flotilla"

A quick story: headed back from our Denver Recruiting station after meeting some GREAT depers (delayed entry program recruits) a Marine from the recruiting station next door came out and we had a chat. The Devil Dog asks why the DEP recruit went Coast Guard and not the Corps.... The DEP recruit replied "check out my ASVAB scores" we all LOST IT! haha went out to lunch and talked life in the suck and sent the recruit on his way proud another young man decided to take the oath and be Semper Paratus for people in need.

Look guys and girls, I know some of us struggle with the things we've seen or done, if you are thinking about doing something to harm yourself... PLEASE DM ME. I'll give you my phone number and we can chat as long as you need... please don't become 1 of the 22. After seeing the children in Joplin, I struggle some nights, and having a friend I can call saved my life. Hang in there, we all have different jobs, have been to different places, and have seen/done different things, but to me (even as a volunteer) you are my family. Reach out.

Semper Paratus,

Seth

-Army National Guard
-Oklahoma
-88m (truck driver), however looking into submitting my Warrant Officer application to go fly helicopters.
-Still in. Just had my 8 year anniversary. Probably going to be a lifer at this point.
-Somehow have not been deployed. My company was leaving just as I got out of basic and I was given the choice. Being the scared brand new private, I said hell-to-the-naw. Wish I would have gone now. Oh well, I'm sure we will be going again soon.

Im also a full time EMT on the Civ side.

Bought a brand new '10 4Runner back in 2010. Got sent to Japan less than 6 months later. My 4R has been sitting in government storage for over 7 years. Its got less than 10K miles on it. Reading about all the adventures and the stuff you guys have been doing to your vehicles has been absolute torture! Should be reunited with mine in a little over a month, I'm stoked. I did have a Surf while I was in Japan though.
