Servicing My Power Steering Pump Pulley

If I take the pulley off, are the bearings or whatnot in the pump itself, or how would I go about making sure everything is smooth. It is possible the pump is causing a vibration. Not sure, and want to do cheap and easy fixes first.

There's no real bearings in the pump. There is a shaft that rotates inside a bushing. If either is worn badly or the vane pump rotor or vanes are broken then it may cause vibrations. I would expect that serious issues could be felt by hand when turning the pulley. Read the FSM pages on power steering and you can decide how easy or difficult it is to service.

I still have to remove mine and see if there's anything wrong. I'm still chasing a mysterious vibration problem. I will definitely remember this if you still have it around and I need one.
