I never worried about any of that, .. thats crazy, I worked for Lexus of Sacramento and Jiffy Lube and I never witnessed or heard of anything like that.

I felt bad when I was test driving a car after a repair, saw a Cd that I was interested in and threw it in for a listen!

That's absolutely pathetic but I'm not surprised.

You know, one time Toyota sent me a service bulletin for my wife's van in regards to her runflats. The recall was for anyone who had uneven ware on the inside or outside of the the tires compared to the center of the tire they would replace them for free. Sure enough she had that exact same issue, the inside tires were warn with 0mm of tread left and with as much as 5mm at the center. When I showed this to my local Toyota service department, they did everything they could to say this is not what the recall was about. I pointed out and said you can't tell me that one side is more warn than the middle??! Friggin shameful of them. I finally spoke with a service manager and complained about his techs and mechanics. He later honored the recall. But even today those same techs are still working there.

What idiots, losing a job in times like this over a piece of candy in the snack machine, what else are you doing with .75. And to sit there and rifle through someones stuff in clear view, must be standard practice at that shop. He should have filled that vial with cyanide pills, then we could watch the first guy drop dead after licking an unknown powder, moron! And clearly that was a joke, I don't wish death upon anyone.

Years back I had an employee who stole food from peoples lunches in the company fridge. We pretty much figured out who it was and made it clear we'd be watching and anyone caught stealing anything was gone, instantly. Well sure enough this moron didn't get it and kept taking stuff, lost a 40k a year position over a handful of chips, just never made sense to me, he could have told me he was hungry and had no money and I would have gotten him something.

The Service Manage ought to have been fired too for ignoring 2 prior complaints.

I keep the inside of my truck essentially empty, and I'll be damned if I still don't like taking my truck to a mechanic for any work where it will be out of sight or away from me.

Dumbasses lost a good paying job just for being morons.

This is exactly why I never go to the workshop with my cars...

I once took my 'runner to a workshop to get the exhaust system fixed (that was before I had tig/mig welders to do that myself) and when I got it back there were winston cigarettes on the floor and in my ashtray... FIY, I don't smoke winston.
Not a big deal that someone's smokes in my truck, WHEN HE'S A PASSANGER WITH ME, when it's at the 'shop I'd rather not havin' them sittin' in my truck smokin... I work at a electric workshop and I think this has *never* happened here.

If we ever would have a guy doin' things like that, he'd be fired right away...

im not surprised. my first 4runner i took it to a dealership in bellevue, WA [the name slips me right now but there is only one there] and i had stuff stolen from it. when i confronted them they basically said i was a liar. they stole a butterfly knife i had gotten while in mexico and a Nintendo 64 game. i had screens and a playstation 2 and N64 set up in the car so im sure they played those too.
i never went back again.
