4runner shocks

I have a 2000 4runner, had a 97 my youngest has a 98 I have used Bilstein in the past, Now I'm using KYB MONOMAX THAT WORK GREAT, THE BILSTEINS THAT PEAPLE SAY THEY JUST LOVE FELT MUSHY TO ME THE MONOMAX FEEL GREAT.

I did just this recently and truck feels great. Used the FJ coils with 5100 Bilsteins.. Awesome combo..

I like the XREAS suspension, so if and when it's time to replace it, ill stick with something similar. I'd love to get the bilsteins but can't justify spending the money and considering they are for lifted applications. My truck is a daily driver and will on occasionally see a dirt road every do often.

If you love XREAS, AFAIK there's no aftermarket replacement for that, no nothing similar. When you replace the shocks with say Bilsteins, the hydraullic lines that connects these XREAS shocks together(diagonally) will also be removed. The ride will not be the same. You might wanna start looking for take offs from other 4Runner owners with low miles XREAS, so you'll have a backup system. Or go with aftermarket replacement shocks and your ride will feel like a regular SR5. Bilstein HDs are good replacement if no future lift is in plan.
