I got put on to this site from another UK Hilux Surf owner and just bid on some (RHD) clear lights. Looks good so far! BTW, usual disclaimer about not having any personal involvement in the site or undisclosed interest. Just thought it might be nice for anyone seeking that JDM rocking-horse poop.

Update: All good! 2 x new headlights, 1 x 2002 Grille, 2 x new sidelamps. Great packing.

Will deffo be using again, fancy some LED rears now.

BTW, shipping was about the same as the cost of the goods. Which I was expecting, as the grille dictated the size of the box it all went in.

Beware of the headlights being suited for RHD, not LHD. The beam patterns are not the same side to side.

I've been after "Crystal" spec headlamps for a while but of course all the 4Runner ones are US-spec LHD and the one RHD seller on ebay UK wants £225 a corner.

That's $339. Each. Total jester.

Even ordering from Japan with shipping was cheaper (which is probably what he's doing anyway).

is it legal to retrofit in the uk? trs makes rhd cut off projectors.

If I go that route, I guess I could have used LHD US 4Runner units, because if I am using projectors, the reflector shape will have no impact. In fact, I'd paint it black. I'd still get stung for postage and import tax, so the difference would be marginal.

And I'd stick a telly in it, of course
