should I buy this 2008 limited v8 with 151k?

So I'm new to this site and Im in the market for a 4Runner ASAP. I just sold my BMW 335i and want to get a 2008ish Limited V8. I found a 2008 with 151k on it and it's absolutely immaculate for $13k. My only concern is that it has an aftermarket dual exhaust/radio/remote starter... I'm not a fan of aftermarket mods, so this raises red flags for me. Or am I just crazy? Not many service records, but judging by how clean the car is, it appears to have been taken care of. No documentation about timing belt service, but someone wrote on timing belt cover that it was replaced at 120k.

Got a lot of miles in NY. I would check the undercarriage for rust as north east vehicles see a lot of salt on the roads. That's always a good indication of long term care, often more so than interior and paint.

I'd be worried about all the maintenance that may or may not have been done. (This is true of any vehicle of that mileage, not that one in particular.)

It is probably worth taking it to an independent mechanic for inspection to make sure everything looks good.

I bought my '07 limited with 156K, no regrets. I'd try and get it for $12K if it's a private party. $13K from a dealer would be great.

I don't see how a crusty undercarriage indicates how well the car was taken care of... only indicates to me that there was salt on the roads.

Some people are more fanatical about running their cars through the car wash in the winter than others or they take the time in the summer to clean up (slow down) the rust that formed over the winter. Those are generally the people that keep up on other maintenance as well.
