Should I buy this used roof rack

I saw this 4Runner for sale on craigslist and the guy said he is willing to sell the roof rack seperate. It has 4 lights in the front and 2 in the back. Im not sure what lights they are, he said they were all each about $200. I offered him $450 and he said thats too low so Im trying to decide if its worth maybe splurging around $500 for it. Ive always wanted a roof rack with 4 lights on the front. Also, I dont know how to do the electrical but he said he can help....what are some opinions? Thanks!

Those front lights look like the Karagen HID ones. I forget retail but people were buying them up when they went on clearance. Reports are that they are very nice. They have integrated ballasts which is nice especially for a roof mount application.

Any better pictures of the rack? I'd get more details on type and condition before you spend that much.

Do you need a roof rack or the lights? They will kill your gas mileage and $500 is a lot of money to throw around. It's a good deal, but nothing great IMO.

no one needs a roof rack...i used to have an explorer with lights on the roof and miss that...I like the safari style look with lights and want to get opinions...

If you like the looks go for it, but for $500 you can get an aftermarket bumper or sliders, skids, projector retrofit ect that will be more beneficial. It's just a lot more money for just looks and you could buy a similar rack and throw some cheap lights on for a lot less if you just want them more or less for looks.
