Should I Buy this V8?

I found a 2005 SR5 4x4 V8 with 205k miles. Original owner, paint is t great but interior looks good. Seems like a decent price at $8,000. Kinda sound like a good platform for a fun build!?

What do you guys think? I currently have the 2005 v6 but the v8 is the more desirable motor from what i read!?

Be sure 4LO works as well as the lockers (if the V8 has them, I'm not familiar as I have a V6).
